TS Narayan C. Debnath hiện là Trưởng Khoa Công nghệ thông tin kiêm Chủ nhiệm Bộ môn Kỹ thuật phần mềm EIU. Trước đây, Thầy từng là Giáo sư và Chủ nhiệm bộ môn Khoa học Máy tính tại Đại học Winona State, Minnesota, Hoa Kỳ. Thầy nhận bằng Thạc sĩ Khoa học Máy tính từ Đại học Ohio State, Hoa Kỳ, bằng Thạc sĩ Vật lý khác từ Đại học East Carolina, Hoa Kỳ, và bằng Tiến sĩ Khoa học (D.Sc.) ngành Khoa học Máy tính tại Đại học Jadavpur, Ấn Độ.
Thầy đã có những đóng góp nghiên cứu độc đáo trong các lĩnh vực Mô hình, Số liệu và Công cụ Kỹ thuật Phần mềm, Kiểm thử Phần mềm và các công cụ tự động hóa, Phát triển và Quản lý Phần mềm, và Khoa học, Công nghệ và Kỹ thuật Thông tin. Hiện tại, Thầy đang tham gia nghiên cứu và xuất bản các công trình về Trí tuệ Tính toán và các Ứng dụng Mới nổi.
Thầy là tác giả hoặc đồng tác giả của hơn 500 ấn phẩm trên nhiều tạp chí khoa học và kỷ yếu hội nghị được bình duyệt trong các lĩnh vực Khoa học Máy tính, Khoa học Thông tin, Công nghệ Thông tin, Khoa học Hệ thống, Toán học và Kỹ thuật Điện. TS Narayan C. Debnath là biên tập viên của một số cuốn sách được xuất bản bởi Springer, Elsevier, CRC Press và Bentham Science Press về các lĩnh vực điện toán mới nổi. Các cuốn sách được xuất bản gần đây của Thầy về Thiết bị IoT và Mạng cảm biến, Mô hình bảo mật IoT, Công nghệ Blockchain cho bảo mật dữ liệu và các vấn đề Bảo mật và Quyền riêng tư trong thiết bị IoT đã tạo ra những tác động đáng kể trong sự phát triển mới về các chủ đề này. Thầy đã duy trì sự hợp tác nghiên cứu và chuyên môn tích cực với nhiều trường đại học, giảng viên, học giả, chuyên gia và người thực hành trên toàn cầu.
Thầy đã có nhiều bài giảng, nghiên cứu và bài phát biểu quan trọng được mời tại nhiều hội nghị quốc tế, các ngành công nghiệp và các tổ chức giảng dạy và nghiên cứu ở Châu Phi, Châu Á, Úc, Châu Âu, Bắc Mỹ và Nam Mỹ. Thầy đã giảng dạy nhiều khóa học về điện toán và công nghệ thông tin bao gồm Tư duy tính toán, Kiểm thử phần mềm và Đảm bảo chất lượng, Lý thuyết tính toán. Thầy đã giảng dạy các khóa học và hội thảo về Kỹ thuật phần mềm và Kiểm thử phần mềm tại các trường đại học ở châu Á, châu Phi, Trung Đông và Nam Mỹ. Thầy đã hướng dẫn nhiều sinh viên và học giả thực hiện nhiều dự án, luận văn thạc sĩ và luận án tiến sĩ trên khắp thế giới.
