Following the success of the EIU Open Day 2023 program, on January 13-14, 2024, Eastern International University (EIU) welcomed nearly 6000 students, along with teachers, and parents from high schools in Binh Duong province and neighbouring provinces such as Tay Ninh, Binh Phuoc, Ninh Thuan, Binh Thuan, Long An, to participate in the EIU Open Day 2024.
The EIU Open Day 2024 is an event organised by EIU to provide an opportunity for students, teachers, and parents to visit and learn about EIU, the university located in Binh Duong New City, founded and primarily funded by Becamex Corporation. EIU operates on a business university model with the mission of “Advance knowledge and serve the community”.
Students explored the learning environment at EIU
Participating in this year’s program, students and teachers had the opportunity to explore the learning environment, including the library, classrooms, Becamex Business Incubator (BBI), Fabrication Laboratory (Fablab), STEM, Industry 4.0 Innovation and Creativity Center (IIC), Sembcorp – EIU, Advanced Manufacturing Center (AMC), dormitories, and surrounding facilities in Binh Duong New City, such as Hikari and Sora Garden SC.
Through counselling activities in the program, students and teachers gained updated information and knowledge about current and future trends in industries. This included forecasting the workforce in the context of the booming Industry 4.0 in Binh Duong province and the broader Southeastern region. During the event, EIU also awarded several Full Scholarships and Engineering Scholarships to eligible students who applied and underwent a 3-semester admission process.

At the advice booths of departments and the Language Center of the university, students actively and enthusiastically asked questions related to the fields currently being taught at EIU, as well as the English language proficiency requirements, particularly achieving a minimum IELTS score of 6.0 upon graduation. Through guidance from leaders and lecturers from specialised units, students gained a better understanding of their favourite fields of study, enabling them to make informed choices aligned with their strengths and interests.
“I am very impressed with the facilities and the learning environment at EIU; everything is modern and well-organised. I am very interested in studying Marketing, and after experiencing a day at EIU, I will discuss with my family about my desire to study at EIU,” shared Nguyen Tu, a 12th-grade student from Dong Xoai High School (Binh Phuoc) after participating in the EIU Open Day 2024.
EIU awards Full Scholarships and Women in Engineering Scholarships to eligible students after they apply and are admitted to the school through a 3-semester selection process
In 2024, EIU is admitting students to nine training programs, including Business Administration, Economics and Data Science, Nursing, Software Engineering, Computer Networks and Data Communication, Electrical Engineering, Control and Automation Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, andElectronics & Telecommunication Engineering. The university offers four admission methods: Admission based on the results of the 2024 high school graduation exam, admission based on high school academic results, admission based on the 2024 assessment test of VNU-HCM, and direct admission according to EIU regulations.
Moreover, the university also allocates many valuable scholarships for outstanding freshmen, including Full Scholarships (VND 113,500,000 – VND 135,500,000 for the entire course), Engineering Scholarships for Female Students (VND 91,500,000 for the entire course), Talent Scholarships (VND 20,000,000), and Encouragement Scholarships (VND 10,000,000).
