On September 6, 2023, Mr. John Jung, Co-Founder of the Intelligent Community Forum (ICF), along with a delegation, visited and collaborated with the university. The delegation was warmly received by the university’s leadership, faculty, and students.
As a crucial component of the Smart City project in Binh Duong, EIU not only contributes to training a high-quality workforce to meet the specific needs of Binh Duong province and the Southern Key Economic Region but also serves as a hub for technology transfer and the promotion of innovation and creativity. EIU is a pioneer in establishing an entrepreneurial center in Binh Duong.
During this visit, EIU introduced Mr. John Jung and the delegation to the campus and the roles played by various units, such as the Advanced Manufacturing Center, the Industrial 4.0 Innovation Center, STEM programs, the Cybersecurity Center, and the Becamex Business Incubator, among others. These units serve different purposes but are closely interconnected, forming an ecosystem of innovation and creativity within the university. This ecosystem not only fosters entrepreneurial thinking and contributes to nurturing the startup environment in the region but also provides high-quality technical workforce training. It supports startup businesses in research, design, production, and quality assurance while identifying Industry 4.0 solutions for technology transformation in manufacturing and establishing suitable Industry 4.0 transition plans for companies.
During the program, Mr. John Jung engaged in discussions and shared insights with EIU regarding the university’s vision, strategy, and role in the context of globalization. He also commended EIU’s investments and efforts in building an ecosystem of innovation and creativity, as well as in training a skilled workforce to attract talent and serve the socio-economic development of Binh Duong. With the foundations in place, he expressed confidence that EIU would continue to develop and achieve significant breakthroughs in the future.
