On June 5,2024, the Advanced Manufacturing Center (AMC) of Eastern International University (EIU), in collaboration with Hankook Delcam Vietnam Co., Ltd. and Tech Data Advanced Solutions (Vietnam) Co., Ltd., successfully organized the seminar “Design, Machining, and Online Collaboration with Fusion.”
The seminar saw the participation of nearly 20 guests from various businesses within and outside Bình Dương Province, as well as lecturers and students from Eastern International University, Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology, and Vietnamese-German University.
Mr. Nguyễn Thuận Phú from EIU’s Office of Community Engagement informed the seminar attendees about EIU’s role in providing high-quality human resources.
The seminar began with Mr. Nguyễn Thuận Phú, from EIU’s Office of Community Engagement, providing information to Hankook Delcam Vietnam Co., Ltd. and other businesses about EIU’s role in supplying high-quality human resources contributing to Becamex’s ecosystem. He also introduced the Vietnam-Singapore Innovation Center and its affiliated centers, such as Sembcorp-EIU Center for Sustainable Solutions, Industry 4.0 Innovation Center, and Cyber Security Center.

During this occasion, Dr. Nguyễn Trung Nghiệp, Director of the Advanced Manufacturing Center (AMC), shared various aspects related to AMC. AMC offers training solutions, design, manufacturing, measurement, and quality assurance in mechanical engineering. It is equipped with state-of-the-art equipment, including CNC machines (3 and 4 axes), CAD/CAM software, mechanical machining tools (lathe, milling, grinding), measurement and quality management devices (CMM), plastic product manufacturing equipment, and surface treatment and painting devices.

Following the introduction, specialists from Hankook Delcam Vietnam Co., Ltd. presented Autodesk’s educational ecosystem, highlighting the process, functions, and benefits of the Fusion platform.
At the end of the seminar, attendees toured AMC’s facilities, gaining a comprehensive view of one of the university’s advanced technical centers in machining and transferring advanced technologies for both students and local businesses.

Earlier, on January 10, 2024, AMC and its partners organized the seminar “SOLIDWORKS & SolidCAM – Smart Solutions from Design to Machining.”
During this event, AMC and ViHOTH Company announced a cooperation agreement. This event marked a new milestone in the collaboration between businesses and the university, opening up opportunities for deeper knowledge about CAD/CAM/CNC and the application of SOLIDWORKS & SolidCAM in production. It also created opportunities for internships and jobs for EIU students after graduation.
