Workshop on making hand-made flowers in celebration of Vietnamese Teachers’ Day

Joining the Nation in Celebrating Vietnam Teachers’ Day on November 20, the Youth Union of Eastern International University held the Workshop “Making flowers from velvet wire” on November 13. The event attracted numerous students from various faculties.

During the workshop, students were guided by Ms. Cao Thai Bao, a lecturer from BBS, on how to create flowers as a handmade product crafted from wire and soft velvet fabric. The wires are used to form the framework for the stems and leaves, providing rigidity and flexibility for shaping. Velvet fabric, with its smooth and glossy surface, is used to craft the petals, giving the flowers a realistic appearance.

Through these handmade flowers, EIU students expressed their gratitude and heartfelt thanks to their teachers—the dedicated “boatmen” who have silently lit the flame of knowledge for generations of EIU students throughout nearly 15 years of the university’s establishment and development.
