After two weeks of exciting competitions, on December 10, 2023, EIU UNIGAMES 2023 concluded successfully.
During the closing ceremony, Mr. Mai Son Tung – Secretary of the Party Committee, Director of Office of Student Affairs, shared, “EIU Unigames is not just a simple student activity but an opportunity for all faculty, lecturers, and students of the university to connect and exchange knowledge. Outstanding performances and team spirit have contributed to the understanding of the importance of collaboration and mutual support in achieving common goals for the EIU community. For the students, your commitment to balancing academic studies with physical activities and health training is commendable. The lessons learned on the sports field – discipline, perseverance, and teamwork – are essential and will undoubtedly contribute to your comprehensive development.”

EIU Unigames was organised to celebrate the 41st anniversary of Vietnamese Teachers’ Day (November 20, 1982 – November 20, 2023). The event attracted 424 athletes from various departments, units, and student groups of the university, participating in competitions, including 16 football teams, 7 basketball teams, 3 volleyball teams, 76 badminton pairs, and 40 track and field athletes. Through intense and captivating moments of competition, with beautiful plays, exciting matches, outstanding teams, and individuals, medals were rightfully earned.

Attending the closing ceremony, Mr. Le Nguyen Ngoc Long – Secretary of the Youth Union, Co-head of the Organizing Committee, expressed gratitude to the University Council and Board of Presidents, Executive Committee of the Trade Union of EIU, Executive Committee of the Trade Union of Becamex IDC, Leadership of Becamex International Hospital, and EIU Alumni Executive Committee for their guidance and support, contributing to the success of the sports festival. Additionally, he congratulated all athletes for their dedicated sportsmanship. The event provided an opportunity for the EIU community to come together, serving as a healthy playground for faculty, lecturers, staff, and students to enhance their health and contribute to the development of sports activities within the university.

Duy Kha (Becamex Business School) – a participant in the football competition – shared, “EIU Unigames not only gave me moments of relaxation but also allowed me to express my passion for football and improve my health. My teammates and I had intense matches, and we are happy about that. I hope EIU will continue to organise more healthy activities like this for us to participate in and experience.”
