On the morning of December 14, 2024, Eastern International University (EIU) hosted the opening ceremony of the EIU Unigames 2024 at Binh Duong New City Central Park. The event aims to promote sportsmanship, encourage participation in physical training and competitions, and enhance the health of faculty members, staff, and students. It also fosters an environment for exchange and learning, contributing to building a healthy and united culture within the university.
Attend had Comrade Nguyen Phuc Hau – Member of the Party Committee of the Bloc, Secretary of the Bloc’s Youth Union, and Chairman of the Bloc’s Student Association; Comrade Luong Van Hai – Member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Youth Union for Enterprises, Secretary of the Youth Union of Becamex IDC Corporation. From EIU, the event welcomed Comrade Mai Son Tung – Secretary of the EIU Party Committee; Mr. Ho Chi Dung – Chairman of the University’s Trade Union; and Comrade Nguyen Le Ngoc Long – Secretary of the EIU Youth Union.
Athletes Compete at the Unigames
EIU Unigames 2024 is an annual sports event organized by the EIU Office of Student Affairs in collaboration with the university’s Youth Union, Trade Union, and various partners. This year’s event features six sports: football, volleyball, table tennis, basketball, badminton, and running, with the participation of over 300 athletes, including faculty, staff, and students of EIU.
Organizers Present Awards to Running Event Winners
The sports event runs from December 14 to 22, followed by the commencement of all six sports competitions. By the end of the first day, the organizers crowned the champions of the running event in both the men’s and women’s categories. The remaining sports have identified individuals and teams advancing past the preliminary rounds to the next stages. On the upcoming Saturday and Sunday (December 21–22), participants will compete in the finals of the remaining five sports.
