The seminar on Global Cyber Security 2024 took place on the morning of April 4, 2024, at the Binh Duong Convention and Exhibition Center, focusing on “Navigating The Future Of Cyber Threats And Responses”. The event was organised by the World Trade Center Binh Duong New City (WTC Binh Duong), in collaboration with the Eastern International University (EIU), Code.Presso, and Naru Security from South Korea.
During the seminar, delegates were briefed on the current cybersecurity situation, analysed global cybersecurity threats in 2023 and the trend for 2024, responses to cyber incidents, and new models in cybersecurity. Dr. Narayan Chandra Debnath, Dean of the School of Computing and Information Technology at EIU, shared insights on the role of EIU’s Cybersecurity Center and the cybersecurity situation in Vietnam.

According to the 2023 report by the Vietnam National Cybersecurity Technology Company (NCS), there was a 9.5% increase in cyber-attacks against organisations compared to 2022, with an average of 1,160 incidents each month. The most common targets last year included government agencies, banking systems, financial institutions, industrial systems, and other critical infrastructures.
The seminar aimed to introduce and propose solutions for identifying and responding to cyber threats, updating new trends, and developing defence strategies to deploy effective security solutions against cyber-attacks.
