As part of the working visit to Binh Duong province from November 16th to 18th, on November 18th, Eastern International University (EIU) had the honor of welcoming the delegation from the Kingdom of Cambodia for a visit. The delegation, led by Mr. Chan Sothea – Deputy Minister of the Interior, also serving as Deputy Secretary of the Local Democratic Development National Committee, was received by Dr. Nguyen Ngoc Huy – Vice President of EIU.
During the reception program, Dr. Nguyen Ngoc Huy shared with Mr. Chan Sothea and the members of the delegation about the role and quality of education at EIU within the ecosystem of Becamex IDC. Additionally, EIU expressed its desire to welcome Cambodian students in general and from Kratie province, Cambodia, in particular, under the cooperation program signed between the leadership of the two provinces.

On this occasion, the delegation from the Kingdom of Cambodia visited the practical rooms and laboratories at the university, such as Fablab, Stemlab, the 4.0 Industrial Innovation Center, and the Becamex Business Incubator (BBI).

At EIU, the leadership of Kratie province, Cambodia, and representatives from Binh Duong province jointly signed a working agreement to strengthen cooperative relations between the two regions in the field of education. EIU, the Department of Foreign Affairs of Binh Duong, and the Department of Education and Training of Kratie province will continue to work out the details to welcome Cambodian students starting from the 2024 admissions year.
