With his talent and composure during the competition, Trinh Thai Gia Bao – a second year student from the School of Information Technology at Eastern International University (EIU) – secured Third Prize in the Specialized Informatics category at the 33rd Vietnam Student Informatics Olympiad and the 2024 ICPC Asia Regional (OLP’24 & ICPC).

Participating in the 2024 OLP’24 & ICPC competition hosted by Hanoi University of Industry, EIU competed in three categories: the Super Cup Student Olympiad, the Specialized Informatics category, and the ICPC Asia team competition.
The EIU team competed in this prestigious contest.
The OLP’24 & ICPC 2024 competition is an event for students nationwide who are passionate about information technology. This year’s event attracted over 159 teams from 87 universities, colleges, and academies across the country; 37 teams from 22 specialized high schools; and 20 teams from 9 international universities, with a total of over 649 contestants, 140 lecturers, and coaches.
Sharing their thoughts after the competition, EIU students said: “OLP’24 & ICPC is a platform for us to interact and exchange experiences with contestants from various provinces across the country as well as internationally. Additionally, it is an opportunity for young people like us to showcase our talents, take on challenges, and learn from the best, thereby contributing to the development of Vietnam’s information technology sector.”
