Eastern International University, Yamaguchi Prefectural University, Japan reach new MoU (Online)

To expand international cooperation and promote the development of scientific research as well as broaden student exchange programs, on September 22, 2023, EIU collaborated with YPU to organize the Memorandum of Understanding Signing Ceremony.

Prior to this event, EIU had connected with Yamaguchi Prefectural University through online and in-person discussions. After a period of exploration and the implementation of various activities, EIU and YPU proceeded to sign the memorandum of understanding to collaborate and develop joint activities related to scientific research, education, and culture. This collaboration includes enhancing the exchange of faculty and students and participating in scientific conferences. Both institutions also aim to promote information exchange, seek new and useful opportunities, and engage in collaborative online learning (COIL model) with a cooperation term of 5 years.

Following the MOU signing, the two parties can implement joint programs such as co-organizing and participating in workshops and sharing sessions related to the nursing field; establishing recruitment programs for YPU students to study and work on projects at EIU’s laboratories in the nursing field; and promoting and supporting practical visits and field trips for students in Vietnam and Japan in 2024.

With the goal of training high-quality human resources, including nursing professionals, EIU prioritizes the development of collaborative activities and academic exchanges with reputable educational institutions, both domestically and internationally. This initiative aims to provide opportunities for faculty and students to access advanced higher education, share experiences, and learn from each other in education management, scientific research, and teaching activities. Through this collaborative effort, students are provided with favorable conditions to gain the most effective learning experiences.
