On the morning of July 12, 2023, at the Binh Duong Convention and Exhibition Center, a Memorandum of Understanding was signed between the People’s Committee of Binh Duong Province (Vietnam) and the Government of Nebraska State (USA) on establishing the relationship between the two countries, cooperation and twinning system on the basis of the principle of equality and mutual benefit, with many meaningful contents in order to cooperate and develop comprehensively.
Accordingly, to start the cooperation in the field of education, Eastern International University – invested by Becamex IDC Corporation, also signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the University of Nebraska-Ohama. With similarities in training fields such as: Science and technology, health, engineering, economics, etc.. The signing not only opens up opportunities for development cooperation for the two units, but also creates favorable conditions. , providing learning, research and development opportunities for students through experiential activities, student exchanges, academic projects, etc.
It is known that expanding cooperation activities with prestigious domestic and international educational and business partners is one of the goals that Eastern International University always focuses on. The strong connection network is the basis for the University to share, update and perfect the training program to suit the continuous development of the society; At the same time, it also contributes to creating positive values that spread to the community.
Earlier on the same day, the delegation visited EIU – the core element of the tribble helix: government- University – Enterprises in the innovation ecosystem of Binh Duong Province, Mr. Jim Pillen – Governor of Nebraska State expressed interest and appreciation for the modern learning environment as well as the University’s investment in developing the Innovation Ecosystem. With many units that have close interaction with each other, this model not only creates a lot of value for EIU’s internal learning – research – entrepreneurship, but also contributes to spreading and promoting the spirit of entrepreneurship, and strongly support in training, technology transfer, providing many services in the field of start-up – innovation for the community.
Furthermore, during the tour of EIU Fablab, Advanced Manufacturing Center (AMC), and the Industry 4.0 Innovation Center (IIC), Mr. Jim Pillen recognized the role of each unit and showed particular interest in the AMC, which supports startup enterprises in manufacturing and processing. This is a critical nucleus that attracts intellectual resources, investment, and develops capacity and human resources to contribute to the innovation mission of Binh Duong Province, specifically, and the key economic region in the southern part of Vietnam as a whole.
