Students connect with businesses through “EIU – XP POWER Career Talk”

The program, jointly organized by Eastern International University (EIU) and XP POWER this morning (February 19), attracted many students from different schools.

The “EIU – XP POWER Career Talk” was held to help EIU students with career orientation in an increasingly competitive labour market. This event is an excellent opportunity for students to gain real-world insights into their chosen fields and understand employers’ demands. It also equipped them with essential skills and the mindset to align with current recruitment trends.

Mr. Alexius Oh, Vice Director Office of Community Engagement, delivered the welcome speech to open the program.

The program is organized to help EIU students navigate their career paths in an increasingly competitive job market. It is not only an opportunity for students to gain real-world industry insights and understand employer expectations but also to equip themselves with essential skills and a mindset aligned with current recruitment trends.

At the program, Mr. Steve VR – Chief Operating Officer of XP POWER provided key insights into the company, including its formation and development since 1988, its areas of operation, business markets, and workforce. He also emphasized the company’s mission and future growth objectives. These insights helped students gain a better understanding of XP POWER while exploring career opportunities in a professional and dynamic work environment.

Mr. Nguyen Tu Trang – Purchasing manager according to the list of XP Power companies shares to students the contents of the supply chain management industry

Continuing the program, Mr. Nguyen Tu Trang, Purchasing manager according to the list of XP Power companies, focused on sharing insights about the Supply Chain Management industry with students. According to him, Supply Chain Management involves overseeing the flow of goods, services, information, and finances throughout the entire process from suppliers to customers. It encompasses various activities such as planning, sourcing, production, transportation, warehousing, and product distribution, all aimed at optimizing performance and reducing operational costs, Mr. Tu Trang shared.

On this occasion, Mr. Nguyen Thanh Vuong, Technical Manager at XP POWER, engaged with students to discuss the company’s products and manufacturing processes.

As part of the program, Ms. Serene Tan – Director of Human Resources & Organization – provided information on job opportunities for EIU students across various positions within the company. Additionally, she shared details about employee benefits and compensation policies, helping students gain a clearer understanding of the work environment and career development pathways at the company. This information not only offered practical insights but also helped students better navigate their job search journey after graduation.
