This morning (December 18), the delegation from Yamaguchi Prefecture, Japan, led by Mr. Muraoka Tsugumasa, Governor of Yamaguchi Prefecture, visited Eastern International University (EIU). This visit is part of a series of events commemorating the 10th anniversary of the cooperative and friendly relationship between Binh Duong Province and Yamaguchi Prefecture.
The delegation was welcomed by Ms. Nguyen Truong Nhat Phuong, Vice Chairwoman of the Provincial People’s Council; Mr. Bui Minh Thanh, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee; Mr. Nguyen Van Hung, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Becamex IDC Corporation; along with representatives from various provincial departments and agencies. On behalf of EIU, the reception included Mr. Nguyen Tan Loi, Chairman of the University Council; Dr. Ngo Minh Duc, President of the University; and leaders of the university’s schools and departments.

Speaking at an interaction session with EIU students, the Governor of Yamaguchi Prefecture acknowledged and highly appreciated the achievements EIU has attained in recent years across various fields, including teaching and scientific research. During this visit to EIU, Mr. Muraoka Tsugumasa expressed his hope and desire for the university to maintain and further strengthen its cooperation with schools and enterprises in Yamaguchi Prefecture. He emphasized that this collaboration would contribute to enhancing the quality of human resources and fostering cultural and educational exchanges between the two provinces.

During the program, Dr. Ngo Minh Duc – President of EIU, shared that with the support and facilitation from the leadership of the two provinces and the connection provided by Becamex IDC, EIU has actively promoted collaboration with reputable enterprises and educational institutions in Japan, particularly in Yamaguchi Prefecture. EIU has signed numerous cooperation agreements with Yamaguchi University, Yamaguchi Prefectural University, and YIC Rehabilitation College. These activities not only hold great significance for EIU’s training and research but also contribute to strengthening the profound friendship and cooperative ties between Binh Duong and Yamaguchi provinces. Additionally, they reaffirm the university’s commitment to training, supplying, and developing high-quality human resources to serve the mutual development of both localities.
