On October 10, 2023, EIU welcomed and worked with a delegation from Okayama University (OU), Japan, with the desire to expand cooperation with international partners to develop collaborative teaching and research activities for Economics and Data Science and EIU as a whole.
During the program, OU and EIU exchanged information about the learning environment, vision, mission, and strategic goals of both institutions. With the mission of “advance knowledge – serve the community,” EIU not only educates high-quality human resources through various experiential learning activities but also serves as a research and applied science hub, and technology transfer centre. EIU is also developing an ecosystem of innovation and creativity to generate many drivers to promote entrepreneurial activities for students and the community. OU is one of the top prestigious universities in Japan, with many similar fields of training such as health, economics, and technology, promising to open up opportunities for cooperation between the two institutions, especially in student and faculty exchanges, research collaborations, and more.
On this occasion, the delegation from Okayama University also visited the learning environment and units within EIU’s Innovation Ecosystem, such as the Library, the Industry 4.0 Innovation Center, Fablab, Becamex Business Incubator, and Advanced Manufacturing Center. The delegation expressed great impressions of the modern, green learning environment and the dynamic English communication abilities of EIU students.
Collaboration with reputable educational institutions domestically, internationally, and the business community is one of EIU’s top priorities to exchange experiences, learn, and share progress in various fields. This creates opportunities for students to learn, research, enhance knowledge, and serve the community.
