Exciting, practical, and meaningful were the common impressions shared by new students during the School of Nursing’s welcome program held this morning, September 11, 2024.
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Thi Doan Huong – Dean of the Faculty of Nursing at EIU, delivers a welcome speech to the new students.
With the aim of creating a warm and friendly space for freshmen to confidently interact and get to know their lecturers and peers, EIU’s School of Nursing organized the 2024 Freshmen Welcome Program featuring many meaningful activities. The program served as the first stepping stone for students to confidently embark on their journey to becoming professional nurses together with EIU.
At the event, new students not only had the opportunity to meet the faculty’s lecturers but also listened to their sharing about the Faculty’s goals and mission, its training programs, and effective methods to conquer their chosen field. Many students showed great interest by raising questions about the Faculty’s observation programs, internships, and international exchange opportunities at reputable hospitals both domestically and abroad. All questions were answered thoroughly and enthusiastically by the lecturers.
Ms. Tran Thi Thuan – Vice Dean of the School of Nursing, shared with the new students about the faculty’s teaching staff and its training programs.
In addition, to further motivate and inspire the 2024 freshmen in pursuing this health-related field, the Faculty arranged a session for them to interact with representatives from Becamex International Hospital and alumni who are currently working there. Through the conversation, the new students listened to heartfelt sharing about the mission of nurses in community healthcare. They also gained valuable insights into the demand for nursing professionals, career development opportunities in the nursing field, and the advantages of being proficient in English as a nurse, among other topics.

Through the freshmen welcome program, it is believed that the 2024 freshmen of the Faculty of Nursing are now ready and confident to enter the new academic year with great energy.
