Dr. Nguyen Thanh Duy is a lecturer in Finance at Becamex Business School, Eastern International University. He obtained his PhD from the University of Technology Sydney (UTS) and has academic teaching and research experience at leading Australian higher education institutions, including UTS and the University of New South Wales (UNSW). He is also a Certified ESG Professional, providing ESG advisory and consulting services to firms.
In his research, Dr. Nguyen focuses on sustainable finance, ESG, mergers and acquisitions (M&A), and corporate restructuring. He has published in well-regarded international academic journals such as the Australian Journal of Management and The European Journal of Development Research, and has received Best Paper Awards at several international finance conferences.
In teaching, Dr. Nguyen adopts a student-centred learning philosophy, viewing the lecturer as a facilitator and guide rather than a one-way transmitter of knowledge. The courses he delivers emphasize the integration of academic theory with real-world market practices, enabling students to develop strong analytical skills and practical problem-solving capabilities in contemporary financial contexts.
