Assoc. Prof. Dr Nguyen Thanh Hoang has built a distinguished career that spans both the public sector and academia. Prior to 2017, she worked at an agency under the Ho Chi Minh City People’s Committee in the field of investment management, where she developed a strong practical foundation in governance and public policy planning.

From 2007 to 2024, she transitioned into academia, serving as a lecturer at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University – Ho Chi Minh City, while also teaching as an adjunct lecturer at Vietnamese-German University. During this period, she contributed to the education and mentorship of multiple cohorts of undergraduate students, graduate students, and doctoral candidates, alongside advancing her research in international economics and public policy.

Since 2025, Assoc. Prof. Dr Nguyen Thanh Hoang has joined Eastern International University (EIU) as a lecturer and is concurrently undertaking postdoctoral research at the University of Malta, further expanding her international academic and research collaborations.
