On May 7, Eastern International University (EIU) organized a workshop titled “Professional Ethics in the Hospitality Industry,” which attracted a large number of faculty members and students from the Becamex Business School, particularly those majoring in Hospitality.
The workshop featured experienced experts from the hotel industry, including Mr. Khieu Tuan – General Manager of Fairfield by Marriott South Binh Duong; Ms. Nguyen Dinh Da Cam – Director of Human Resources at JW Marriott Phu Quoc; and Ms. Chung Huynh – Assistant HR Director at Fairfield by Marriott South Binh Duong.

Through real-life scenarios from international hotel chains such as JW Marriott, Le Meridien, and Sheraton, the speakers shared codes of conduct and ethical standards in the hospitality industry by illustrating real-world cases, unveiling the lesser-known challenges within this service sector. These valuable insights helped students better understand the ethical dilemmas that hospitality professionals may face in the current landscape.
Ms. Nguyen Dinh Da Cam – HR Director at JW Marriott Phu Quoc spoke to students about ethical issues in the field of Hospitality.
Ms. Chung Huynh – Assistant HR Director at Fairfield by Marriott South Binh Duong shared with students about employee benefits at Marriott International.
In addition, students learned more about the development journey of Marriott International – the world’s largest hotel chain with over 9,000 hotels in 144 countries and territories. The speakers also discussed career opportunities, employee benefits, and career paths in the industry, offering students a comprehensive view of the current job market in the hospitality sector.

The workshop not only provided practical knowledge but also reinforced the foundation of professional ethics. This is considered a core element for Hospitality students at EIU to grow sustainably and professionally in the international service environment.
