On June 18, Eastern International University (EIU) hosted a workshop titled “Critical Thinking at Work: Fostering Problem Solvers.” The event attracted a large number of lecturers, staff, and students from various faculties across the university.
During the program, two guest speakers from First Solar Vietnam—Mr. Ha Le, Operations Manager, and Ms. Han Nguyen, Senior HR Manager—shared practical insights into how critical thinking is applied in the corporate environment, particularly at First Solar.

Through real-life stories and workplace scenarios, EIU students gained a deeper understanding of how critical thinking operates within businesses. More importantly, it prompted them to reflect on their own thought processes, behaviors, and problem-solving approaches in both academic and everyday contexts. The workshop also offered valuable insights into what companies are truly looking for in young talent, helping students adjust their mindset, attitudes, and professional conduct to better align with labor market demands.
EIU students actively engaged and posed questions to the speakers
By the end of the event, many students reported a clearer sense of their personal values and realized that critical thinking is not merely a soft skill but rather a core foundation for adapting to and thriving in today’s fast-changing work environment./.
