This morning (September 9, 2025), Becamex Business School (BBS) at EIU warmly welcomed the 2025 cohort of freshmen in a vibrant and energetic atmosphere.
The event was honored by the presence of the University Council/Board of Presidents, the School’s leadership, and members of the Becamex Business School. It was a valuable opportunity for the new students to listen to welcome messages, receive academic guidance, and gain deeper insights into the School’s mission and vision. BBS is committed to advancing knowledge in business and economics, nurturing generations of students who are ready to contribute to the sustainable development of the community and enterprises.

As part of the program, students were introduced to the majors offered at BBS, including Business Administration and Economics & Data Science. The academic programs are designed to meet international standards and are delivered entirely in English (except for political courses), blending theory with practical experience. A distinctive highlight is the experiential learning model, closely connected to businesses through fieldtrips, internships, real-world projects, and networking sessions with industry experts and alumni.
Beyond academics, BBS provides students with a dynamic environment filled with academic and extracurricular clubs such as FINCLUB, Honors Club, and various sports clubs, along with opportunities to participate in academic and entrepreneurial competitions like Moneyvers, CFA Challenge, and Future Makers. Students are also encouraged to engage in meaningful community and volunteer activities.
A special feature of this morning’s program was the Talkshow with industry representatives and EIU alumni, where freshmen had the chance to hear practical insights from professionals at international companies as well as from alumni who once grew and thrived at BBS. This was a valuable opportunity for new students to broaden their perspectives and begin shaping their career paths from the very first days at university.
Freshmen Networking with Businesses and EIU Alumni
Not only did they listen attentively, but the freshmen also confidently raised many questions for the faculty and guest speakers—ranging from learning experiences and career opportunities to the essential skills needed for global integration. Their candid and thoughtful questions reflected a proactive spirit of learning and a readiness to embrace challenges of this new generation.
Welcome to the BBS family, dear freshmen! Wishing you a learning journey filled with rich experiences, exciting opportunities, and the courage to break through.
