On March 4, Eastern International University (EIU) organized a training session on preparations for the external assessment of four academic programs in accordance with AUN-QA standards.

Speaking at the program, Dr Nguyen Thanh Trong, Vice President of EIU, emphasized the importance of the external assessment under the AUN-QA framework in the University’s efforts to enhance training quality and strengthen regional integration. On this occasion, Dr Nguyen Thanh Trong also requested all units to strictly fulfill their assigned responsibilities and tasks, while ensuring that all supporting evidence is comprehensive, accurate, and fully compliant with the standards and criteria of AUN-QA in a systematic and consistent manner.

At the training workshop, Ms Tran Hoai Bao – Director, Office of Quality Assurance, provided an overview of the objectives, requirements, and procedures for program assessment under the AUN-QA framework. In addition, the session focused on clarifying the implementation timeline, the specific assignment of responsibilities to each unit, coordination mechanisms among departments, as well as new updates based on the latest guidelines from AUN-QA.

According to the plan, from March 16 to 19, EIU will welcome the External Assessment Team for the official site visit to evaluate the quality of four academic programs based on AUN-QA standards. The programs undergoing assessment in this round include Business Administration, Control and Automation Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering and Software Engineering.
The training program not only demonstrated EIU’s proactive approach and thorough preparation in quality assurance, but also reaffirmed the University’s strong commitment to meeting regional accreditation standards in a serious and professional manner.
