Seminar on “The Current Competitive Landscape of the Textile and Garment Industry”

On May 21, the Faculty of Business Administration at Eastern International University (EIU) organized a seminar titled “The Current Competitive Landscape of the Textile and Garment Industry”, which attracted a large number of students from various majors within the faculty.

During the event, representatives from ProTrade Garment JSC (Binh Duong Garment Corporation) shared valuable insights with students about the current competitive landscape of Vietnam’s textile and garment industry. The discussion focused on prominent trends such as the application of green technology, automation, and digital transformation in manufacturing—key factors in improving productivity and product quality.

In addition, the speakers emphasized the expectations that businesses have for fresh graduates, including professionalism, adaptability, soft skills, and specialized expertise. The seminar also provided practical information on career opportunities in areas such as Business, Marketing, Supply Chain Management, and Human Resources.

Students actively engage by asking questions to the guest speakers

Through this activity, students not only gained updated industry knowledge but also had the opportunity to interact directly with corporate representatives, helping them to better shape their future career paths. Engaging with potential employers while still in school helps bridge the gap between theory and practice, giving students a clearer understanding of the labor market’s real demands and enhancing their adaptability and competitiveness upon graduation.
