Launching OISP 2025: EIU & NYP – Innovating for a Sustainable Community

On the morning of September 29, 2025, Eastern International University (EIU), in collaboration with Nanyang Polytechnic (NYP), officially launched the OISP 2025 Program. The program aims to create an interactive learning environment, provide practical experiences, and jointly develop sustainable solutions and products for concentrated residential community models.

During the opening session, NYP students were introduced to EIU’s innovation ecosystem, particularly the university’s commitment to sustainable development. In addition, they had the opportunity to tour EIU’s modern facilities, including the Library, Cybersecurity Center, EIU–Sembcorp Sustainable Solutions Center, Industry 4.0 Innovation Hub, and various other learning spaces

In the afternoon of the same day, students from NYP and EIU participated in their first group training activity using the Design Thinking approach, guided by the Community Engagement Office. Here, they gradually practiced applying design thinking in developing research and conducting surveys.

The OISP 2025 program will take place from September 29 to October 10, 2025. Following the opening ceremony, students were divided into eight groups to participate in training, research, and the implementation of community projects in Ho Chi Minh City. Each group, consisting of 7–8 students from both NYP and EIU, will work together to contribute solutions for a sustainable community.
