ICEBA 2025 Opening Ceremony – Biosensors and Applications

On November 11, Eastern International University (EIU), in collaboration with the University of Science – Vietnam National University Ho Chi Minh City, and Tohoku University (Japan), held the opening ceremony of the ICEBA 2025 conference.

Dr Ngo Minh Duc – President of EIU delivered a speech at the conference

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Dr Ngo Minh Duc – President of EIU – emphasized that the co-organization of ICEBA 2025 is an opportunity for EIU to strengthen its connections with the academic community, build networks for research collaboration and technology transfer, and generate new values from scientific knowledge to serve regional socio-economic development and contribute to the community. At the same time, the conference is also an occasion for the University to foster a dynamic academic environment — where lecturers and students can meet and exchange ideas with experts and researchers, learn from one another, and expand their understanding across various fields.

This year’s conference brings together around 80 scientists from Vietnam and abroad, with more than 70 papers presented on topics such as: Engineering, Engineering Physics, and Electrical–Electronics Engineering; Micro-Electro-Mechanical Systems (MEMS), sensors, and semiconductor devices; Biomedical Engineering, digital microfluidics and their applications; Microelectronics, integrated circuit (IC) design, low-power consumption devices, renewable energy; Computer Science, Simulation and Modeling; Embedded Systems, Internet of Things (IoT), Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence; Medical Physics and Nuclear Engineering; Mechanical Engineering and Advanced Manufacturing Technologies; Robotics, Automation, and Intelligent Systems.

Assoc. Prof Dr Tran Minh Triet – Vice President of the University of Science, Vietnam National University Ho Chi Minh City, shared his insights at the conference

Speaking at the conference, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tran Minh Triet – Vice President of the University of Science, Vietnam National University Ho Chi Minh City – shared that ICEBA is an academic event held alternately among universities in Vietnam and abroad to promote interdisciplinary research collaboration. In 2025, the conference takes place at two venues: National Central University, Taiwan (last week), and Eastern International University (EIU) from November 11 to 12.

Assoc. Prof Nguyen Van Hieu – Co-Chairman of the ICEBA Organizing Committee – shared with scientists and researchers about the content and framework of the conference

Prof Takahito Ono – Tohoku University (Japan) shared at the conference

On the first day, the conference was held in two sessions: a plenary session featuring presentations from experts on the conference topics, and specialized sessions with reports presented in various subcommittees.

Within the framework of the program, leaders from the University of Science – Vietnam National University Ho Chi Minh City, Tohoku University, the Ho Chi Minh City Semiconductor and Microelectronics Technology Association, and the Ho Chi Minh City High-Tech Research and Application Center signed a cooperation agreement to strengthen research collaboration and technology transfer in the fields of semiconductors and microelectronics.
