Exciting Finale of the Drone Soccer Championship 2025

On June 6, the Final Round of the Drone Soccer Championship 2025 officially took place. Organized by the Fablab of Eastern International University (EIU), the competition attracted 22 teams comprising technology-enthusiastic students from various educational institutions.

Teams compete in the tournament

Drone Soccer is an emerging tech-based sport that combines drone operation with strategic teamwork. This exciting new discipline is increasingly popular among young people. In this year’s tournament, teams delivered intense and dramatic matches in a netted arena, where spherical drones (equipped with protective frames) maneuvered according to football-inspired competitive strategies.

Each team consisted of 3 to 5 members, filling three key roles: Striker (the only one allowed to score), Sweeper, and Keeper. These roles could be switched flexibly during the match. The Team Captain played a critical role in coordination, equipment management, and was the only member allowed to communicate with the referee. Depending on the round, matches followed either a BO1 or BO2 format, with the team scoring more points or committing fewer fouls declared the winner.

Team Ca Ninja wins the championship

At the conclusion of the tournament, the Organizing Committee honored the most outstanding teams. Team Việt Anh 3 took home Third Prize, Team SKT – T won Second Prize, and Team Ca Ninja claimed the First Prize, securing the championship title.

The Drone Soccer Championship 2025 was not only a creative playground for tech enthusiasts but also served as a platform to promote teamwork, drone control skills, and the application of science and technology in modern sports./.
