EIU Students Meet International Experts at “L2Pro Vietnam & QVIC 2026: From IP to Innovation”

On the morning of October 17, 2025, Eastern International University (EIU), in collaboration with Qualcomm, successfully organized the Launch Ceremony of the L2Pro Vietnam platform and the Kick-off of the Qualcomm Vietnam Innovation Challenge (QVIC) 2026. The event attracted a large number of lecturers, students, and guests, creating a vibrant atmosphere that inspired innovation and creativity within the EIU academic community.

The program is part of a series of initiatives aimed at promoting awareness of intellectual property (IP), innovation, and technology entrepreneurship among students. Through these activities, participants gain foundational knowledge on protecting intellectual property rights, leveraging the value of their ideas, and transforming creativity into strategic assets — a key factor in the era of the knowledge economy.

At the event, EIU students had the opportunity to engage with and learn from Qualcomm’s experts through insightful sharing sessions. Mr. Ram Krishnan – Senior Director of Technology Licensing, opened the program by recounting Qualcomm’s more than 40-year journey of innovation – from its early breakthroughs in mobile connectivity to the current era of 5G, AI, and edge technologies. He emphasized that intellectual property serves as the foundation that drives creativity and technological advancement worldwide. Following that, Ms. Nguyen Thanh Thao – Business Development Director and Representative of QVIC Vietnam, introduced the Qualcomm Vietnam Innovation Challenge (QVIC) – a Qualcomm initiative aimed at fostering Vietnam’s innovation ecosystem by providing technical support, training, and IP consulting for technology startups. She highlighted that QVIC not only helps startups refine their products and expand market access, but also contributes to building a knowledge foundation in innovation and intellectual property, fueling Vietnam’s transformation toward a creativity-driven economy. In addition, Mr. Le Van Khanh – Qualcomm Vietnam Technology Engineer, shared forward-looking insights on Edge AI – an emerging trend in artificial intelligence that processes data directly on devices, optimizing performance, enhancing security, and enabling practical applications across agriculture, logistics, and smart cities.

Beyond knowledge sharing, the event also offered a hands-on learning experience as many EIU students registered to become learners on the L2Pro Vietnam platform – a free online intellectual property (IP) learning program developed by Qualcomm. The platform helps participants understand how to protect and develop their intellectual assets, equipping them with the essential knowledge and skills to confidently take part in innovation and creativity challenges both in Vietnam and abroad.

The event “L2Pro Vietnam & QVIC 2026: From IP to Innovation” not only provided EIU students with opportunities to access global knowledge and advanced technologies, but also reaffirmed EIU’s commitment to accompanying students on their journey of integration and innovation. Through collaborations with businesses, international organizations, and leading technology corporations, EIU continues to strengthen its role as a practice-oriented educational environment — one that builds a solid foundation for students to confidently reach out to the world.
