On December 23, 2025, the EIU delegation led by Mr. Nguyen Tan Loi – Chairman of the University Council and Dr. Ngo Minh Duc – President, along with leaders of various units, paid a working visit to Khon Kaen University (Thailand).
During the visit, the EIU delegation met with the President and leadership of Khon Kaen University to review the outcomes of their cooperation over the past three years and to discuss strategic directions for the next phase, in alignment with the criteria of the THE Impact Rankings. Both sides expressed their appreciation for the results of the working session on December 22, 2025, and reaffirmed their commitment to expanding the partnership in a more in-depth, practical, and long-term manner, focusing on postgraduate education, faculty development, student and staff exchange, applied research, and internships.

At the faculty level, the two universities agreed to implement a range of key collaborative initiatives in Engineering, Information Technology, Public Administration, and Business Administration. Accordingly, EIU plans to send 10–15 students to study at KKU in 2026, while expanding internship opportunities for KKU students at the Industrial Innovation Center 4.0 (IIC) and enterprises within the Becamex ecosystem. KKU will also continue to provide doctoral training for EIU faculty members and further develop research in Information Technology, data science, and digital transformation. In addition, the two institutions will strengthen the organization of international conferences and the sharing of experiences related to AACSB accreditation. These activities are expected to be implemented from the first to the second quarter of 2026.

As part of the visit, the EIU delegation also held an official working session with the leadership of Khon Kaen University.
Based on the discussions, both parties agreed that the partnership between EIU and Khon Kaen University has entered a phase of in-depth collaboration, with clearly defined tasks and a structured roadmap. The year 2026 has been identified as a key period for the strong implementation of the agreed cooperation programs, contributing to the advancement of academic development, research, innovation, and positive impact on the regional community.
