On June 20, the Faculty of Engineering organized the ECE 100 Gallery Walk, an event aimed at promoting project-based learning from students’ very first academic year. This initiative brings classroom knowledge closer to real-life applications and encourages hands-on learning.
Students majoring in Electronics and Telecommunications Engineering, Electrical Engineering, and Control and Automation Engineering had the opportunity to showcase their innovative technical products developed as part of the ECE 100 – Introduction to Electrical and Electronic Engineering course. The event provided an engaging and inspiring platform where students demonstrated their creativity and technical knowledge, while also building self-confidence, presentation skills, teamwork, and critical thinking to solve real-world engineering challenges.

The showcased projects focused on practical applications in electrical-electronic and wireless communication fields. From automatic door systems using fingerprint sensors, line-following robots, and maze-solving game controllers using inertial measurement units, to LED display models based on persistence of vision, wireless messaging devices, and signal transmission systems, the students demonstrated strong capabilities in system thinking, hardware design, and embedded programming—even at the beginning of their academic journey.
This Gallery Walk served as a source of academic inspiration, nurturing students’ interest in technological exploration and innovation. It is hoped that these early-stage projects will lay the foundation for future breakthroughs and help shape a new generation of engineers—professionally competent, hands-on, proficient in foreign languages, and ready to thrive in the rapidly evolving industrial landscape of the Southeast region.
