Nguyễn Trọng Tín – a student from Hùng Vương Gifted High School, won the championship of “Đấu Trường EIU 2024”

After over a month of organization, on May 26th, the final round of “Đấu Trường EIU 2024” competition officially took place. Ultimately, Nguyễn Trọng Tín from Hùng Vương Gifted High School (Bình Dương) excellently surpassed the remaining 09 contestants to claim the championship of the competition.

Attending the competition were Dr Nguyễn Ngọc Huy – Vice President of Eastern International University (EIU); Mr Mai Sơn Tùng – Director ofOffice of Student Affairs, Member of the University Council, Deputy Head of the Organizing Committee; Mr Quách Chấn Khôi – Vice Director of Office of Corporate Communications, Head of the Organizing Committee, along with esteemed teachers, school board, and students from high schools whose contestants competed in the final round.

Before entering the competition, EIU awarded scholarships to the Top 10 contestants of the final round, each scholarship worth 44,000,000 VND. The scholarships will be applied when the contestants enroll at EIU and deducted from the tuition fees.

This year’s final round consisted of 09 extremely vibrant and dramatic rounds, in each round, each contestant answered 02 questions from the Organizing Committee with a maximum time of 10 seconds for 01 question. Based on the results from the contestants’ answers, the Organizing Committee eliminated 01 contestant in each round.

The elimination process continued until only 02 finalists remained, who then engaged in a direct elimination to determine the highest position. In this round, each contestant answered 05 questions, the contestant who answered more questions correctly would win and receive the entire amount of money accumulated in their account from the previous rounds.

Sharing after winning the championship, Nguyễn Trọng Tín said: Through “Đấu Trường EIU 2024” Competition, I have strengthened and enriched my knowledge. The content of the questions is very diverse, covering various topics from natural sciences, social sciences, economics to law… I hope that in the coming years, many contestants from our school will achieve high results, thereby bringing honor to the school.

“Đấu Trường EIU” is an annual event organized by EIU, attracting thousands of contestants from high schools across the country to compete.

This year’s top 10 contestants include one from Lai Vung 1 High School (Đồng Tháp), while most of the others are from high schools in Bình Dương Province, such as Hùng Vương Gifted High School, Tân Phước Khánh High School, and An Mỹ High School. Among them, Hùng Vương Gifted High School has four contestants who made it to the finals.
