This morning (November 28), Eastern International University (EIU) welcomed the delegation from the School of Information Technology, Khon Kaen University. On behalf of EIU, Mr. Nguyen Tan Loi – Chairman of EIU, Dr. Ngo Minh Duc – President of EIU, along with leaders of schools, departments, and affiliated units.
Dr. Ngo Minh Duc – President of EIU, delivered a welcoming speech to the School of Information Technology, Khon Kaen University.
During the working session, EIU shared with members of the School of Information Technology, Khon Kaen University, about its role in training and providing high-quality human resources to effectively meet the urgent demands for sustainable economic and social development in Binh Duong province in particular and the nation in general. Accordingly, EIU is one of the important elements in the relationship: Government, Academia and Enterprises, aligning with Bình Dương’s strategy for developing a Smart City and Innovation Region. By 2025, EIU will celebrate its 15th anniversary, marking its journey of establishment and development. Over the years, EIU has built and nurtured its own unique innovation ecosystem on campus. This ecosystem integrates various interconnected units working closely together to carry out tasks in education and training, scientific research, community engagement, and promoting socio-economic development, among other endeavors.
Mr. Nguyen Tan Loi – Chairman of the University Council, shared with the delegation from School of Information Technology, Khon Kaen University about projects and programs that could be implemented between the two institutions in the near future.
Throughout the discussions and working sessions, leaders from both institutions agreed to implement bilateral and comprehensive cooperation programs across multiple fields, leveraging the strengths of both sides. Ms. Chitsutha Soomlek – Vice Dean for Research and Innovation, School of Information Technology, Khon Kaen University, shared her insights on potential collaborations between the two institutions.
Previously, during a working session held from April 21 to April 24, 2024, between EIU’s University Council and Board of President at Khon Kaen University, the latter highly appreciated the potential for collaboration in Information Technology and Engineering. This is supported by EIU’s robust innovation ecosystem, which includes units such as the Industry 4.0 Innovation Hub, AMC Advanced Manufacturing Center, Sembcorp-EIU Sustainable Solutions Center, Cybersecurity Center, and more. These units not only provide internship opportunities for students in related fields but also open doors for collaboration in renewable energy, sustainable solutions, robotics, system integration, Industry 4.0, autonomous mobile robots, signal processing, and image processing.
As part of the program, Khon Kaen University also visited EIU’s facilities, including practice rooms, laboratories, and the campus environment, experiencing the academic setting at EIU.
