Recently, from September 1 to September 7, 2024, Eastern International University (EIU) organized a student exchange program for nursing students with the National University of Singapore (NUS), providing many exciting experiences and valuable knowledge for the students.
Students from EIU School Of Nursing study and exchange with NUS students
With a focus on practical learning, EIU regularly arranges internship and practical training activities not only at domestic businesses but also at international companies and universities. This is considered a “second classroom” that provides students with numerous opportunities to interact with leading industry experts, observe, learn, and enhance their professional skills, particularly in an international environment.
EIU students visit and learn at healthcare facilities
Throughout the internship journey, EIU students had the opportunity to visit top nursing homes and healthcare facilities in Singapore. In particular, they were introduced to advanced medical technologies and modern healthcare models at Khoo Teck Puat Hospital. Additionally, supplementary activities such as thematic seminars and networking events helped nursing students expand their knowledge and connect with international peers, thereby developing essential skills and building industry networks.
The internship at NUS provided students with valuable learning experiences through exploring advanced healthcare methods, gaining new knowledge and skills, and gaining a deeper understanding of the nursing profession in an international setting. It was also an opportunity for students to engage in cultural exchange and gain motivation and inspiration to pursue their studies and passion for community health care.
