On October 28, students enrolled in HRM 493 – Human Resource Strategy from the Becamex Business School (BBS) at Eastern International University (EIU) participated in a practical project program at the Ho Chi Minh City office of MISA Joint Stock Company.
As part of the project, students worked in groups to analyze the company’s human resource strategy and evaluate how well its human resource management practices align with business objectives and workforce development needs. Their research focused on key areas such as human resource planning, recruitment, training and development, performance evaluation, compensation and benefits, employee relations, and employee retention.
Company representatives share insights with students.
By applying their professional knowledge, research methods, and data analysis tools, students had the opportunity to explore real-world challenges in human resource management. Throughout the project, each group was required to identify key HR issues, analyze practical situations, and propose suitable solutions to improve productivity, flexibility, diversity, and sustainability in human resource management.
EIU students ask questions to company representatives.
The project outcomes were presented through written reports and presentations, in which each group provided an overview of the company, its current human resource management practices, key strategic issues, and three recommendations supported by analysis. Each proposal was required to clearly outline the implementation plan, assigned responsibilities, timeline, necessary resources, and key performance indicators.
The activity provided EIU students with an opportunity to connect classroom knowledge with real-world business requirements while developing teamwork, analytical thinking, problem-solving skills, and professional responsibility. Through this project, the HRM 493 course helps prepare students to apply their human resource management knowledge in a professional working environment.
