Managers Leading Teams

You currently hold a managerial role in manufacturing, commercial, or service enterprises, where your daily work requires timely, accurate decision-making under increasing pressure on costs, resource management, and operational efficiency. Therefore, possessing a solid foundation in professional management, a comprehensive strategic perspective, and a strong understanding of modern technologies and digital transformation is essential for success in such a challenging environment. Recognizing these needs, the MBA program is designed to accompany and support you in developing into an effective and outstanding leader.

You may come from a background in engineering, technology, or business administration. While you are performing well in your current role, you increasingly recognize that higher-level positions require more than narrow functional expertise. You seek a deeper and broader understanding of how organizations operate as integrated systems, enabling you to make decisions that combine insights from finance, human resources, and strategy. This MBA program supports your transition from a “specialist mindset” to a “leadership mindset,” enhancing your confidence in working across multiple functions and preparing you for more senior managerial roles.

You are a business owner or a successor in a family enterprise. While your business may be operating stably, you recognize that experience alone is insufficient to achieve structured and sustainable growth. You require a strong understanding of modern governance systems, a clear strategic direction, and the ability to leverage tools that drive business expansion. This MBA program not only provides knowledge but also enables you to critically reflect on your organization, identify areas for improvement, and develop a long-term, sustainable development pathway for your business.

If you are an engineer or a bachelor’s degree graduate aiming to accelerate your career and prepare for leadership roles in a competitive environment, the MBA program at EIU offers an ideal pathway to achieve these goals. The program is designed to deepen your expertise in areas such as Marketing, Finance, and Business Analytics, going beyond undergraduate foundations to explore emerging trends including entrepreneurship, sustainable development, digital transformation, FinTech, ESG investing, and artificial intelligence. This ensures you enter the labor market with a strong, differentiated competitive advantage.

If you are an EIU alumnus, proud of your academic journey and eager to once again experience learning and research at your alma mater-this time at a higher level-within a modern campus renowned for its green, open, and healthy environment in Ho Chi Minh City, then this MBA program represents an ideal choice for you.

While you may be nurturing entrepreneurial ambitions, you do not need a fully developed business idea at this stage. What you possess is curiosity, a desire to explore opportunities, and a motivation to build something of your own. You understand that entrepreneurship requires more than inspiration-it demands a solid foundation of knowledge to mitigate risks and make informed decisions. This MBA program fosters your mindset, equips you with essential tools, and provides exposure to real-world environments, enabling you to gradually shape and realize your entrepreneurial journey.

You have completed your undergraduate education and gained work experience, yet feel that your career progression has slowed or reached a plateau. You recognize that advancing into higher managerial roles requires reinforcing your foundations in leadership, management, and strategic thinking. This MBA program offers an opportunity to re-equip yourself with knowledge, broaden your perspectives, build a long-term competitive advantage, and prepare for sustainable, confident career advancement.

PROGRAM CURRICULUM

The Master of Business Administration (MBA) program is designed to build a solid foundation in core business disciplines while offering flexibility through specialized development tracks. The curriculum integrates rigorous academic standards with a strong emphasis on practical application.

The program comprises 92 credits (excluding the Pre-MBA program) and is delivered over 21 months under a quarter-based system at Eastern International University. The program is organized into seven quarters, each lasting 12 weeks. Classes are scheduled on weekends to accommodate working professionals.

Under the credit-based structure, learners may shorten the study duration to 18 months by completing six semesters, each consisting of 12 weeks with four class sessions per week.

The program structure is as follows:

  • Core knowledge areas: Accounting, Finance, Marketing, Operations Management, Quantitative Methods.
  • Supplementary knowledge: Study and research skills for postgraduate education; application of artificial intelligence tools in learning and academic research.

Four highly interdisciplinary and practice-oriented modules enable learners to master essential business functions. These modules are designed to develop strategic thinking, financial capability, and competencies in organizational operations management.

This module adopts an integrated model encompassing three essential domains: Accounting, Leadership, and Strategy including to develop core competencies for effective managerial decision-making in complex organizational contexts. These three domains are not taught separately; instead, they are delivered concurrently within the same quarter by three subject-matter lecturers who work closely together to connect and integrate knowledge.

Through this approach, learners not only acquire the ability to read and interpret financial statements, manage budgets, and utilize accounting data, but also understand how such information informs strategic thinking and real-world leadership decisions. In parallel, the module examines how leaders influence organizational performance through individual motivation, team dynamics, and change management capabilities-all situated within a unified decision-making context rather than fragmented bodies of knowledge.

This interdisciplinary module focuses on the global economy by integrating international economics, financial markets, and data analytics. Learners develop the ability to analyze market signals, evaluate investment opportunities, and measure economic risk using methods such as time-series analysis and financial modeling. Case studies and applied data projects provide hands-on experience, enabling learners to apply knowledge to analysis and decision-making in real business contexts.

This module offers an integrated approach to performance management and strategic marketing by aligning human resource management, operations, and marketing within a coherent managerial framework. Learners explore how to connect people, processes, and customer strategy to achieve organizational objectives and drive sustainable growth.

Through case studies and group projects, the module emphasizes talent development and management, operational optimization, and the application of market insights to design effective, customer-centric solutions. Upon completion, learners are equipped to design and implement strategies that align internal organizational effectiveness with success in external markets.

This module focuses on the dynamic intersection of corporate financial strategy, sustainability, and digital transformation. It examines how financial strategies are evolving to integrate Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) considerations, and how digital transformation enables organizations to adapt and remain resilient in rapidly changing environments. Through applied learning and practical case studies, learners develop the capability to lead sustainable innovation and drive long-term value creation in an increasingly digitalized economy.

This is a compulsory course that provides learners with knowledge of the most general laws governing nature, society, and human thought. The course develops logical reasoning, critical thinking, and coherent argumentation skills, enabling learners to analyze and evaluate diverse perspectives on the nature of objective reality.

Learners may personalize their development pathway by selecting four elective courses, each worth four credits, from specialized tracks. Learners may focus deeply on a single discipline or combine courses across different tracks to broaden their skill sets.

  • Marketing Research: Provides an in-depth understanding of the full research process from problem identification to data-driven insights. Learners gain hands-on experience in survey design and in applying statistical techniques to address marketing challenges.

Working in small teams, learners collaborate closely with international clients from private enterprises to non-profit organizations to address specific strategic or operational issues.

Throughout the project, learners manage the entire consulting process, from problem identification and analysis to solution development and the delivery of actionable, implementable recommendations. This experience enables learners to apply their knowledge in a global context while developing cross-cultural collaboration skills and an international management mindset.
