Simulation-Based Teaching Workshop – Advancing Modern Education

On August 1st, Eastern International University (EIU) organized a training workshop on “Enhancing Simulation-Based Teaching Competency”, led by Assoc. Prof. Dr Nguyen Hoang Long, Director of the Medical Simulation Center, VinUni.

Assoc. Prof. Dr Nguyen Hoang Long shared at the workshop

Simulation is a vital, modern approach in health sciences education. Through this workshop, faculty members were equipped with essential knowledge and hands-on skills in simulation-based teaching from organizing sessions and building clinical scenarios to conducting effective debriefing.

Hands-on practice session at the training workshop

During the practical session, participants directly engaged in developing and performing real clinical scenarios at the Simulation Practice Room of the School of Nursing. These practical activities not only reinforced theoretical knowledge but also enhanced the participants’ capabilities, contributing to the increasing effectiveness of simulation-based training at EIU.

The program represents a practical step forward in the journey of innovating teaching methods, strengthening experiential learning, and realizing EIU’s application-oriented training approach — where students learn through experience and are well-prepared to meet professional demands.
