Elevating data management with the Power BI Advance course for TDC personnel

On November 1, Eastern International University (EIU) in collaboration with Binh Duong Trade and Development Joint Stock Company (TDC) organised the closing event of the “Power BI Advance – Advanced Course in Data Management & Visualisation” programme for TDC staff. The course was taught by Business Analysis, Becamex Business School, EIU.

The Power BI Advance course is considered the next step after the “Power BI Basic” programme held in September. While the basic course introduced participants to using the software on pre-processed datasets, the advanced level focuses on hands-on work with raw data, aiming at practical application and optimisation of workflow.

Throughout the course, participants directly worked on raw data arising from the company’s daily operations. This allowed them to automate processing workflows, eliminate manual intermediate steps and reduce risk of human error. As a result, many participants are now able to build, operate and maintain departmental reports using Power BI, thereby enhancing their proactiveness and data-management efficiency.

A lecturer from the Becamex Business School gives feedback on participants’ practical exercises.

The Power BI Advance course is part of the series of training programmes between the University and the enterprise, with the goal of partnering with organisations in their digital-transformation journey. In today’s context, digital transformation does not necessarily have to begin with large steps it can start by effectively utilising tools like Power BI to automate reporting, analyse data and support strategic decision-making.

Certificate presentation for participants who completed the course

The course concluded with many positive outcomes, opening up wider application of Power BI in TDC’s management activities. It also serves as evidence of EIU’s effort to link education with real-world needs, contributing to development of high-quality digital human resources.
