On October 15, the School of Computing and Information Technology at Eastern International University (EIU) organized a seminar titled “Information Technology Students and Scientific Research 2025” for all students of the faculty.
Dr Narayan Chandra Debnath – Dean of School of Computing and Information Technology gave the opening speech of the program
At the seminar, three lecturers from the School – Dr. Phan Van Vinh, Dr. Vu Duc Ly, and Dr. Pham Dai Xuan – shared valuable insights into the process of developing and conducting a research project, from selecting an appropriate topic to applying scientific methods and presenting results effectively. Their practical experiences and professional perspectives were shared sincerely, helping students gain a deeper understanding of the value of scientific research – not only as an academic requirement but also as an opportunity to cultivate critical thinking, analytical skills, and problem-solving abilities.
Lecturers share at the program
On this occasion, the faculty members emphasized that scientific research is not a distant or exclusive field reserved for outstanding students. On the contrary, it is a journey that anyone with a spirit of curiosity and a willingness to experiment can embark on. By asking questions, exploring, and proposing solutions to real-world problems, students gradually develop scientific thinking, learn to reason logically, collaborate effectively in teams, and confidently present their ideas.
Discussion part of the program
With the dedicated guidance of the lecturers, the seminar served as an important starting point for students to develop their research capabilities and prepare for future competitions and scientific publications. This event was not only an opportunity to promote a spirit of learning and creativity within the student community but also reaffirmed EIU’s educational philosophy — where knowledge is closely connected with real-world practice, and the passion for research is nurtured right from the classroom.
