Accordingly, 10 engineering students from Nanyang Polytechnic (NYP) will undertake a 3-month project as part of the Overseas Internship Training Program (OITP) at the 4.0 Industrial Innovation Center, Eastern International University (EIU). This is one of the collaborative activities implemented by both parties following the previously signed MOU.

The Nanyang Polytechnic students were divided by the Center into four groups, each consisting of 2 to 3 students on average. Each group is directly guided and supervised by faculty members from EIU’s School of Engineering to ensure that students can fully and successfully complete their pre-registered projects.
It has been noted that the student projects carried out at EIU this time are highly innovative and practical, while the scientific content of each project presents a considerable challenge for the students. Specific examples include: “Control for Mobile Robot Navigation”, “Digitizing Traditional Machines”, “Design and Build a Smart Dashboard”, and “Design Android App Interface for SmartWarehouse”.

NYP students studied at EIU
After completing their internship at EIU around the end of June 2024, the projects will be evaluated by faculty members from EIU’s School of Engineering based on predefined criteria, ranging from professional quality to the complexity of each project. The results will be sent directly to Nanyang Polytechnic to support the academic management of each student.
During the teaching process for Nanyang Polytechnic’s engineering students, Dr Le Ngoc Huan – Director of the 4.0 Industrial Innovation Center and Head of the Mechanical – Mechatronics Department, School of Engineering, EIU – shared: “After nearly a week of direct teaching and supervision, it is clear that the engineering students from your institution have strong learning capabilities. Each student demonstrates deep knowledge across their specialized fields, and their learning attitude is a significant plus in the eyes of myself and my colleagues.”
In the coming period, in addition to studying and completing their projects at the Center, the 10 students from Nanyang Polytechnic are expected to participate in various company visits, expert talks, and other programs to gain a better understanding of the academic and working environment at EIU, as well as life and culture in Vietnam in general.
