Ms. Phan Thi Thuy Nguyen is a Nursing lecturer at Eastern International University, specializing in surgical nursing. She earned her Master’s degree in Nursing from the University of Medicine and Pharmacy at Ho Chi Minh City, with a research orientation in surgical nursing. Her main teaching areas include surgical nursing, operating room nursing, and fundamental nursing skills.

Her research focuses on the effects of skin-to-skin intervention programs on patients’ physical activity, eating behaviors, self-efficacy, self-esteem, body image, and quality of life. In addition, she served as a research collaborator in a qualitative study on parents’ perceptions and practices in caring for children with obesity, which received the Outstanding Poster Award at EIUSC 2025. She also participated in a systematic review on the effectiveness of interventions promoting physical activity and healthy eating behaviors in school settings for children with overweight and obesity. This study was awarded the Outstanding Poster Award at the EAFONS 2025 Conference held in South Korea.

Currently, she continues to pursue research on improving the quality of life of patients after breast cancer surgery. In her teaching, she emphasizes the integration of professional nursing knowledge with practical care experience, contributing to the development of students’ professional competence and professional attitude.
