Dr Soumen Banerjee is a lecturer in the School of Computing and Information Technology at the Eastern International University, Vietnam. He has more than 25 years of extensive academic and administrative experience. Previously, he served as the Principal of Narula Institute of Technology (NAAC ‘A’ Accredited, NIRF Ranked College), Kolkata, India, and also worked as a Guest Faculty at the Science College, University of Calcutta (CU), India. Prof. Banerjee earned his B.Sc. (Hons), B.Tech. and M.Tech. degrees from CU and Ph.D. (Engineering) from IIEST-Shibpur, India.
Dr Banerjee’s research interests span a wide range of interdisciplinary areas, including Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Computer Vision, Biomedical Engineering, Wide Band Gap Semiconductor Devices, Printed Antennas and Arrays, Fuzzy Systems and Evolutionary Computation. Prof. Banerjee has authored and published more than 100 research papers in reputed International journals and conference proceedings. In addition, Prof. Banerjee has authored over ten books and has also served as the Editor of several volumes published by Springer. Prof. Banerjee is a Senior Member – IEEE, Fellow – IETE and Life Member – InRaSS. He actively serves as a reviewer for numerous International journals and has held positions of Conference Chair and Session Chair in several prestigious International conferences.
