On the morning of July 4, 2026, Eastern International University (EIU), in collaboration with the Bình Dương Ward Police, organized a seminar on “Preventing Drug Abuse, Illicit Substances, and E-cigarette Use in the School Environment.” The event attracted the participation of a large number of EIU students and Youth Union members.
EIU Students Learn About Drug Prevention Laws and Substance Abuse Prevention Skills
The seminar was attended by Lieutenant Colonel Lê Anh Đức, Officer of the Crime Prevention Division of the Bình Dương Ward Police and keynote speaker; Lieutenant Colonel Đinh Thị Ngọc Nhung, President of the Women’s Union of the Bình Dương Ward Police; Major Hồ Trần Mỹ Phượng, Officer of the Bình Dương Ward Police; Mai Sơn Tùng, Secretary of the Party Cell of Eastern International University (EIU); and Nguyễn Lê Ngọc Long, Secretary of the EIU Youth Union.
During the seminar, students were provided with updates on the current situation of drug-related crimes and substance abuse, while gaining knowledge about various types of illicit drugs, prohibited substances, and e-cigarettes that pose potential risks in educational settings. The speaker also introduced relevant legal regulations and shared practical guidance on how to recognize, prevent, and respond to situations involving drugs and other addictive substances, helping students strengthen their awareness and ability to protect themselves.

Through practical and engaging content, the seminar enhanced students’ awareness and equipped them with essential skills to protect themselves from the risks associated with drugs, illicit substances, and e-cigarettes. The event also promoted a healthy lifestyle and contributed to fostering a safe, supportive, and civilized learning environment, while encouraging students to play an active role in preventing drug abuse and other social issues within the community.
