EIU Strengthens Industry Connections and Expands Practical Experiences for Freshmen

From September 14 to 25, more than 1,200 freshmen of the 2026 cohort at Eastern International University (EIU) participated in field trips to businesses across Ho Chi Minh City. As part of the University’s orientation activities, the program gave students early exposure to real working environments and helped them gain a clearer understanding of their fields of study and future career paths.

At the businesses, students toured the working environments and learned about operational models, production processes, and job positions related to their respective fields. Insights shared by company representatives also provided students with a better understanding of labor market expectations, corporate culture, and the skills they need to develop throughout their studies.

The field trips also created opportunities for students to ask questions and talk directly with company representatives. From what they observed and learned, students gained a clearer understanding of their career interests, allowing them to plan their studies more actively and better prepare for professional experiences in the years ahead.

The program was carried out with the support of businesses within EIU’s innovation ecosystem. This helps the University strengthen the connection between academic learning and real-world practice, while giving students more opportunities to experience professional working environments, build career connections, and access internship and employment opportunities during their studies.

EIU sincerely thanks the businesses, hospitals, and organizations that supported the field trip program for the 2026 freshman cohort: ABE Industrial Vietnam, AEON Mall Binh Duong, Ajinomoto Vietnam, Becamex International Hospital, Becamex IOC, Becamex Tokyu, Caravelle Saigon, CEI International Investment, Cicor Vietnam, DataHouse Asia, Davipharm, Dynamo Vietnam, East West Industries, ECCO Vietnam, Fine Scandinavia, Foster Electric (Vietnam), Gem Vietnam Electronic and Metal, Hotel Majestic Saigon, Jakob Saigon, Longood Intelligent Electric, Maersk Vietnam, My Phuoc Hospital, Omron Vietnam, Rochdale Spears, TNT Vietnam – Nesty brand, VNChip, VNTT, VSSES, and Yakult Vietnam.
