On May 12, the School of Health Sciences at Eastern International University (EIU) organized a celebration for International Nurses Day 2026 under the theme “Our Nurses, Our Future – Empowered Nurses Save Lives”, honoring the valuable contributions of nurses in healthcare and community well-being.

Speaking at the program, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Thi Doan Huong, MD – Dean, School of Health Sciences, EIU extended her congratulations to the lecturers, staff, and Nursing students, as well as the nursing teams from Becamex International Hospital and My Phuoc General Hospital. According to Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Thi Doan Huong, nurses not only fulfill their professional responsibilities but also serve as compassionate companions who share, support, and inspire hope in patients throughout their treatment journey.

The event also served as an opportunity to reflect on EIU’s journey in training high-quality nursing professionals. With a practice-oriented educational approach, the University focuses on equipping students with professional knowledge, English proficiency, practical skills, and a strong sense of community service to meet the increasing demands of the healthcare sector.

The EIU School of Health Sciences was established with the aim of training nursing professionals who possess solid expertise, comprehensive professional skills, and the ability to work effectively in modern healthcare environments. In addition to specialized knowledge, students are also encouraged to develop medical ethics, a strong sense of responsibility, and the capacity for international integration.
