Closing the YMAC 2026 Journey – Opening global opportunities for EIU students

On April 11, 2026, a group of students from Eastern International University (EIU) successfully completed their journey at the Youth Model ASEAN Conference 2026 (YMAC 2026) in Singapore and returned to Vietnam. This journey concluded not only with memorable experiences, but also with valuable insights and meaningful takeaways that will support their future development.

During the conference, bringing together students from over 13 institutions across 8 ASEAN countries, EIU students actively engaged in academic discussions, demonstrating confidence, proactiveness, and a strong spirit of global integration. Throughout the program, they were assigned to four working groups, collaborating with international peers to explore and exchange perspectives on key regional and global issues, including Strengthening the ASEAN Identity, Strengthening Human Capital, Harnessing the Silver Wave, and Enhancing ASEAN Green Connectivity.

EIU students and international students participated in group working sessions

Beyond academic activities, the experience in Singapore was enriched through field trips and learning visits to prominent organizations and locations such as Amazon, the National Museum of Singapore, MINDS (Movement for the Intellectually Disabled of Singapore), and the Sembcorp Tengeh Floating Solar Farm. These experiences provided students with deeper insights into Singapore’s economic development, socio-cultural landscape, and sustainable initiatives.

Le Thien Thanh, a Software Engineering student at EIU, was honored with the Best Delegate award in Working Group 1

Notably, at the conclusion of the program, Le Thien Thanh (K13, Software Engineering) was awarded Best Delegate of Working Group 1, recognizing his outstanding performance, critical thinking, and active participation throughout the conference.

The YMAC 2026 journey not only enabled EIU students to expand their international network, gain knowledge, and enhance essential skills such as communication and teamwork, but also marked an important milestone in their personal and academic growth. It offered them a deeper understanding of themselves, the world, and their roles within the global community.

EIU is proud of its representatives who have helped promote the image of Vietnamese students as proactive and ready for global integration. We hope that they will continue to grow from their experiences at YMAC 2026 and move forward with confidence on the journey ahead.
