EIU Organizes a Technology Seminar on “Industrial Robot Trends and Automation Solutions

On October 27, the School of Engineering (SoE) at Eastern International University (EIU), in collaboration with KUKA Vietnam, organized a technology seminar on “Industrial Robot Trends and Automation Solutions.”

Dr Le Ngoc Huan – Director of the Vietnam-Singapore Industry 4.0 Innovation Center (IIC) and Program Director of Mechanical Engineering and Mechatronics Engineering, delivers remarks at the seminar.

The seminar featured two speakers from KUKA Vietnam: Mr Tran Trong Tin – Business Development Key Account Manager, and Mr Tran Viet Ninh – Customer Service Consultant. Representing the School of Engineering (SoE) were Assoc. Prof. Dr Duong Hoai Nghia – Dean of the School of Engineering, and Dr Le Ngoc Huan – Director of the Vietnam-Singapore Industry 4.0 Innovation Center (IIC) and Program Director of Mechanical Engineering and Mechatronics Engineering, along with lecturers and students from the School.

Two speakers from KUKA Vietnam introduce new technologies at the seminar.

At the seminar, speakers from KUKA Vietnam introduced KUKA’s latest generation of industrial robots, its intelligent control software ecosystem, and applications in Smart Manufacturing. In addition to the presentations, the seminar included hands-on activities and demonstrations of industrial robots, collaborative robots (cobots), and automation solutions. By observing the equipment in operation and exploring real-world applications, students from the School of Engineering had opportunities to connect their academic knowledge with the practical requirements of applying technology in manufacturing environments.

Students ask questions during the seminar.

The seminar strengthened the connection between EIU and KUKA Vietnam, helping to bridge education and industry practices. Through professional knowledge-sharing activities and opportunities to explore new technologies, EIU aims to provide lecturers and students with more opportunities to update their knowledge, improve their practical skills, and better understand the requirements of modern industry.
