On the morning of August 17, 2022, Eastern International University (EIU) held its regular Vision Alignment session themed “Research Integrity,” featuring a presentation by Dr Nguyen Trung Nghiep – Lecturer at the School of Engineering and Vice Director of the Office of Scientific Research and Innovation at EIU.
Research integrity is one of the key factors that contribute to the development of science. Guided by its educational philosophy of “Excellence, Integrity, Goodwill, Goodwill, Cooperation, Community, and Sustainability,” EIU is committed to building an honest and ethical environment for learning, teaching, and research. The Vision Alignment session provided an opportunity for Dr Nguyen Trung Nghiep and the EIU community to share and discuss issues related to research integrity. Participants learned about behaviors that may violate research integrity principles and explored solutions to prevent such violations. These efforts aim to ensure fairness, uphold ethical standards, and promote responsible scientific research.
Speaking at the session, Dr Ngo Minh Duc – Vice President of EIU, emphasized that research integrity is one of the key issues that Eastern International University places great importance on. The university encourages its lecturers and young researchers to uphold and promote research integrity as they explore new knowledge and work together to develop strategies for the university’s future growth.
Through the session, EIU gained new perspectives on building a culture of integrity in learning, teaching, and research, in line with the university’s goals and core values.
