ITE Singapore Students Experience Technology at the Industry 4.0 Innovation Center (IIC)

From September 20 to 30, 2026, the Industry 4.0 Innovation Center welcomed a delegation of lecturers and students from the School of Electronics & Info-Comm Technology, Institute of Technical Education (ITE Singapore), for a 10-day technology training and experiential learning program.

ITE students visit a practice laboratory at EIU.

During their time at the Center, students will gain hands-on experience in controlling collaborative robots (Cobots) using joysticks and practice setting up automated operating processes for the Cobots. They will also program camera systems integrated with Machine Learning to recognize hand movements and enable interaction with the robots. Through these activities, students will have the opportunity to apply their programming knowledge to practical technological challenges in robotics, AI, and automation.

The program commenced on September 21, 2026, with a welcome session where the delegation learned more about Eastern International University (EIU) and the Industry 4.0 Innovation Center. Mr. Alex Low Wai Yee – Head of the Delegation, introduced ITE Singapore to the participants. Following the welcome session, the students began building their programming foundations and gradually applying their knowledge to specific practical tasks.

Through the program, ITE Singapore students have the opportunity to learn, practice, and experience technology in an international environment, while also exchanging knowledge and experiences and exploring practical applications in robotics, AI, and automation.
