On September 9, the School of Computing and Information Technology (CIT) – Eastern International University (EIU) organized the Welcome EIU Freshmen 2026 program.
Dr. Narayan Chandra Debnath – Dean of CIT, shares his remarks at the program.
Speaking at the program, Dr. Narayan Chandra Debnath – Dean of CIT, congratulated and welcomed the new students. He shared that at CIT, in addition to professional knowledge, students will be guided to develop their abilities, personal qualities, and career mindset, helping them gradually become technology engineers who can meet today’s needs.
At the program, freshmen were introduced to the curriculum, specializations, field trips, internships, research activities, and international cooperation opportunities. These sessions helped students better understand their academic pathway and the expectations they may face while pursuing a degree in information technology.
Business representatives and alumni share their insights at the talk show.
One of the highlights of the program was the sharing session with alumni and business representatives. Drawing from their real experiences in study, work, and the business environment, the speakers shared insights into career expectations, essential skills, and opportunities available to technology students during their studies and after graduation.
Welcome EIU Freshmen 2026 program is organized at the beginning of each academic year by CIT and EIU to help students become familiar with the university environment and better understand the journey ahead. The connection between the University, businesses, and alumni also creates more opportunities for students to gain experience and learn from the early years of their studies. Through the guidance shared at the program, freshmen gained useful information to actively plan their studies, develop their skills, and prepare for their future careers in information technology.
