ENSIL-ENSCI (France) Students Present Their AI and Robotics Projects at EIU

On August 28, two students from ENSIL-ENSCI University (France) presented the results of their projects after completing their internships at the Industrial 4.0 Innovation Center (IIC), Eastern International University (EIU).

Accordingly, in the project “AI and Computer Vision for Indoor Mobile Robot Navigation,” student Couty Elias focused on applying artificial intelligence and computer vision to mobile robots. The system was developed to help robots recognize their surrounding environment, determine movement directions, and navigate effectively in indoor spaces.

Student Bonnefont Quentin carried out the project “RGB-D Vision-Based Human/Object Detection and Adaptive Safety Control for Human-Cobot Collaboration Using ROS.” The project focused on detecting people and objects through RGB-D cameras. The system enables collaborative robots to recognize objects in the working environment. Based on the collected data, the robot can adjust its operations when interacting with humans, contributing to improved safety in human–robot collaboration.

Certificates awarded to the two students

During their project implementation at IIC from June to August 2026, the students had the opportunity to experience a research and innovation environment focused on real-world technology challenges. This activity also allowed international students to experience the learning and research environment at EIU.
