Specifically, from April 13 to August 7, 3 students from Nanyang Polytechnic (NYP) carried out the project titled “Integrated Automation System for Industry 4.0 Smart Manufacturing Cell at IIC-EIU”. The project focuses on developing and integrating an automation system for the smart manufacturing cell model at the Industry Integration Center (IIC), aiming to optimize operational processes while enhancing the application of Industry 4.0 technologies in education and research.

In addition, from May 9 to July 31, 14 students from Singapore Management University (SMU) participated in three projects: “Developing Sustainable Industrial Data Systems,” “Quality & Workflow Automation System for Total Efficiency (QWASTE),” and “Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) Platform.”These projects focus on developing sustainable industrial data systems, automating quality management and operational workflows, and building an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) platform.

Students Receive Certificates of Recognition

During the internship, the students were also directly involved in projects at the Industry Integration Center (IIC), where they gained hands-on experience with the research, development, and application of technological solutions under the guidance of EIU lecturers and specialists. The internship also provided valuable opportunities for students to apply their academic knowledge in real-world settings, strengthen their professional expertise, develop teamwork skills, and enhance their adaptability in an international environment.

Through these internship programs, EIU and its partner institutions continue to strengthen collaboration in education, research, and academic exchange while creating more opportunities for students to gain practical experience in technology and innovation.
